Baseball cards can be collected in many ways. For instance, you can build team sets, collect individual players, collect Hall of Fame Players or focus your collection around other points. To collect team sets you may begin by collecting current cards of players from your favorite team. The more advanced collector may want to collect cards that are older or more rare. A good collection of Brooklyn Dodgers or Boston Braves players would be interesting. Cards from the Topps 1952 set are particularly desirable. This set includes teams that have moved to new locations such as the before mentioned Dodgers and Braves. It also includes players from the New York Giants, Philadelphia Athletics, St. Louis Browns and Washington Senators. Here we can see how baseball has changed in history.
The main point to remember in collecting baseball cards is collect what interests you. Have fun with your hobby.
